Styku’s, a true-to-life online fitting room for apparel eCommerce vendors from Tukatech is among the most futuristic products that will be seen at Texprocess. Its 3D application allows consumers to virtually try-on a garment on an avatar from the comfort of their own home or by way of any mobile device. A game changing technology, Styku’s applications has the power to dramatically increase online sales and remove customer hesitancy to online purchase. Consumers can finally see how a garment truly fits and in what size before buying online.
In the last two years, there has been tremendous growth in e-commerce technology, as retailers looked for ways to strengthen the online shopping experience. Tukatech with help of companies like My Shape, My Virtual Model, and others strategically created a new venture, a new web-based platform, scalable for future technologies and customizable to retailer’s needs – Styku’s True-to-Life online fitting room.

A consumer by simply clicking “try it on” option can create an avatar or sign in to access their avatar, made from user provided measurements. They can then view garments on their avatar in 3D, post images on facebook to attain feedback, view multiple sizes at once, and even view a colour map to discern differences between sizes and across brands.
Styku is also working with body scanning companies to make it easier for consumers to create avatars. It will launch its private beta to exclusive Tukatech clientele in late 2011, followed by an official launch in early 2012.
