Thailand based wool yarns producer, Indorama Ventures has installed latest 1.1 MWp solar roof project at its Lopburi site. It has been installed on two roofs of the Petform packaging plant and one roof of Indorama Holdings warehouse – occupying around 13,000 square metres of space. The project will generate 1,800,000 -1,900,000 KWh per year and reduce carbon emissions by 1,000 tonnes of equivalent CO2 approximately.
Avinash Chandra, Vice President, Projects avers, “We have installed the largest solar roof project for self-consumption in Thailand. The average power generation is approximately 5,000 -5300 KWh per day. We expect monthly power generation of 150,000 to 160,000 KWh on an average per month from these solar modules. With this project, we can achieve a considerable saving of 650,000 – 700,000 Baht a month in our electricity bill.”
