
China-based Shanghai Filstar Electronics Co., Ltd. which sells printers under the brand name Rodin, launched its latest high-speed textile printer ‘Impression’ series, in India this month. It is made with Ricoh technology from Japan and is meant to replace the traditional flat screen printing by promoting the possibility of high quality digital textile printing at reduced cost.
With its highest productivity reaching up to 231 square metres per hour with an 1800 dpi resolution, the textile printer can be equipped with over drying system as well. It uses the fastest, Kyocera print-head, which provides a resolution of 300 dpi, two color/head with 112 mm width, and achieves a maximum spraying speed of 152 mm per minute with gray scale to achieve the perfect image performance. To achieve error-free printing, the printer carries the ink permeability filtration system which removes tiny bubbles.
