India’s Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) has been recognized as the Best Event Organizer at the recently concluded 6th edition of YIWU Imported Commodities Fair organized in China. The international trade fair is conducted every year by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). More than 1,500 companies from 100 countries participate in this fair.
It is pertinent to mention here that EPCH is a nodal agency for promotion, development and export of handicrafts products from India and create brand image of the country’s home, lifestyle, textiles and fashion products world over.

In view of the potentiality and importance of Yiwu market, which attracts large buyers to import products, EPCH participated in the fair by setting up India Pavilion. 30 member exporters of the Council displayed fashion jewellery & accessories, decorative art metalware, textiles, wooden handicrafts, crochet lace & embroidery and brass artware. Additionally, four artisans showcased their skills in cane and bamboo, Gujarati shawls, Tarkashi and Madhubani painting, said Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director – EPCH in a statement issued.
