Portraying the country’s massive potential to emerge as the world’s largest denim maker as the buyers are shifting business to the country from Europe and China, the 2nd DenimsandJeans.com Expo attracted a lot of denim fabric suppliers. The two-day event in Dhaka witnessed 24 companies from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Brazil,and Germany participating to showcase their denim pants, fabrics and modern machinery. Vicunha, one of the largest denim fabric suppliers in Latin America; KG Fabriks, an Indian denim maker and HR Corporation, a unit of Aziz Group that imports chemicals from Germany for local denim makers in Bangladesh, all seek to increase their business with Bangladesh as the country’s exports are up surging invariably.
