Cambodia will soon have a National Silk Board (NSB) – an industry body which will focus to tighten regulations and improve investors’ confidence in Cambodia’s silk industry. At a recently held workshop aimed for building networks amid raw silk producers and silk product makers, Pheanuroth Sisowath, adviser to the planned NSB, stated that investment and export opportunities would increase in the country once the body gets established. He further informed that policies related to the formation of NSB have been finalized and would be soon submitted to Council Ministers to review, then to the Cambodian Prime Minister to sign off.
