Panorama Exports, a Faridabad based export house with a turnover of US $ 12 million (Rs. 60 crore approximately) and with the capacity of 500 machines, is using the slow phase to develop new markets and improve upon systems for better productivity.
“There are two ways to react to the current situation, one is to feel sorry and the other is look inward and be prepared for the next phase,” reasons Anil Sachdeva, CEO, Panorama Exports. Adopting the positive way forward, the company is searching for new markets in the US as it has been working for the European market for a long time. “We know market condition is not very enthusiastic in the US, but we are working on this and meeting new perspective buyers. We are hopeful to get some business from US soon, as we are fully compliant factory and many buyers are asking for such factories only,” says Anil.
In the meanwhile, Panorama Exports has seen good results to control absenteeism through the RAGS benefit for business and workers (BBW) program in association with Dr. Rajesh Bheda of RBC. “We had a very high rate of absenteeism before this program was implemented, but now the absenteeism rate is much lower and we have also offered incentive plans to staff at various levels to motivate them. After this program our employees are giving their best,” says Anil.
