The 59th edition of India International Garment Fair (IIGF) which was scheduled to take place from 17-19 July in New Delhi has now been shifted to Gandhinagar (Gujarat) under the ‘Textiles India 2017’ initiative. Technology does not change too frequently with regards to the apparel industry; most of the time it is the new companies in the segment or small upgradations in the technology front that attract attention. Considering these points what do you think about the current technology fairs in India, should they happen once in two years or do they serve a purpose by being held regularly throughout the year, every year?

Almost every state, whether already having an established garmenting hub or one desirous of becoming a hub, is coming up with incentives to lure the industry to invest… Given a choice, would you prefer the state which is giving good incentives, but has yet to develop the eco-sphere, or would you prefer to go for the established hub, even if the incentives are not as attractive…?

Please share your thoughts…
