Germany-based Textilwerke Todtnau Bernauer KG, a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative and high quality fabrics, has invested in a state-of-the-art Brückner stenter. The investment is being made to increase the dimensional stability of the company’s product, BERATEX® fabric, for which a heat-setting process is indispensable.
The fabric manufacturer aims at further control and optimization of the product to integrate the final finishing of the fabric with the help of Brückner stenter.
Brückner stenter ensures the required temperature accuracy across the entire length and width of the dryer with a horizontal low-lubrication roller chain and a maintenance-free chain rail system. This chain has direct gas heating system which allows to adjust the process temperatures exactly every 1.5 metres.
In the conceptual design of the line, the project team Bernauer & Brückner turned the highest possible attention on an accurate fabric flow of the rigid articles and an operation which is not interrupted by batch changes. An automatic width control of the entering fabric controls the centred entry into the stenter and protects the transport system from critical mechanical loads.
With the new Brückner heat-setting line, the manufacturer has now achieved a 100 per cent value creating chain: from the granulate to the woven high-quality polyethylene fabric and to the international marketing in more than 46 countries.
