India’s RMG export up 8.06% in May

India’s readymade garment exports grew positively in the month of May at 8.06 per cent to reach US $ 1,605.37 as against US $ 1,485.67 million in the corresponding period last year. India-based Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) has announced a rise of Rs. 2,000 crore in revenue as exports of textile and apparel products in 2016-17 from the region reached Rs. 26,000 crore-mark as against Rs. 24,000 crore in 2015-16. Textile exports from India see steady rise

2,800 textile units which produce textile machinery for entire textile value chain across India have witnessed a steady increase in textile exports in the last five years.
