Indian textile exporters should explore the vast business opportunities in Japan. This was suggested by Joint Director of Textiles Committee K.S. India’s cotton area to increase by 7%: ICAC

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has predicted that India’s cotton area will increase by 7 per cent to 11.3 million hectares in 2017-18 as farmers are encouraged by better returns due to high cotton prices and improved yields in 2016-17. According to Directorate of Handicrafts Jammu and Kashmir, India statistics, handicrafts export from the state this year increased by 8.6 per year-on-year to Rs. 1,151.12 crore in 2016-17 from Rs. 1,059.41 crore in financial year 2015-16. Fire breaks out at handicrafts unit in Jodhpur (India)
