Trade unions avert industrial disaster in Bangladesh

Tanneries in Bangladesh shifting; workers await job assurance

Bangladesh Government is pushing tanneries to move from national capital’s (Dhaka) Hazaribagh area to the suburbs of Savar. As the process is still on, many tannery workers are uncertain about their job security/service benefits. Alliance for Bangladesh Workers Safety completes 72% repairs

Alliance for Bangladesh Workers Safety has reported the completion of 72 per cent of the required repairs almost four years since the collapse of Rana Plaza. Of the repairs completed, 64 per cent were high priority.
