NGT orders closure of textile units around waterbody in Bangalore (India)

Punjab Budget: NITMA hails VAT reduction

Northern India Textile Mills’ Association (NITMA) has welcomed and appreciated the Government of Punjab’s declaration to reduce VAT (Value Added Tax) on cotton and yarn from 6.05 per cent to 3.63 per cent in the State Budget proposed recently. Sri Lanka’s T&C exports plunge 2.2% in 2015

According to the data revealed by Central Bank, the textile and apparel exports from Sri Lanka dropped by around 2.2 per cent to US $ 4.82 billion in 2015.
