Bangladesh’s garment export to China goes up

A 27.11 per cent growth from US $ 224.26 million to US $ 285.07 million has been recorded in readymade garment exports to China from Bangladesh during July-March FY 2017 period. Ananta Apparels likely to merge its 7 garmenting units

According to media reports, Ananta Apparels – an export-oriented woven readymade garment (RMG) manufacturer in Bangladesh has decided to merge its seven units into one in order to make operations less expensive. India’s AEPC achieves 82.8% exports target till December ’16

Ministry of Textiles, India had set a target of US $ 20 billion for readymade garment (RMG) exports for the financial year 2016-17, out of which US $ 15 billion was for April-December period.
