Japan’s apparel sales tumble in May

Same-store sales in Japan rises in April

Showing signs of market recovery, Japan’s same-store sales in April increased by 0.6 per cent over the same month of last year to 1,065,609 million yen. This increase has come for the first time since November 2016. Italian fashion and textile industry federation Sistema Moda Italia (SMI) has said that Italian menswear market noted a modest 0.9 per cent revenue growth in the year 2016, reaching almost € 9 billion. Apparel prices in US up 0.3% in October ’16

According to US Labour Department’s latest Consumer Price Index (CPI), released this week, apparel prices rose 0.3 per cent in the month of October, 2016.
