China resumes annual sales of cotton reserves

Textile mills in China are hoping to get low-priced cotton as the Government has resumed annual sales of state reserves. Cotton Association of India predicts increase in cotton consumption

Cotton output in China down 4.6%

National Bureau of Statistics of China has revealed that total cotton output in 31 autonomous regions and municipalities in China, including Xinjiang, the main cotton producing province, declined by 4.6 per cent or 260,000 tonnes in 2016 as against last year.
