Mahendraganj (Meghalaya) gets apparel production centre

Meghalaya Resource and Employment Generation Council recently inaugurated the first-ever apparel production centre at Mahendraganj in South West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya, India, set up by the Guwahati-based Voluntary Association for Social Upliftment (VASU). Myanmar CMP exports up 83.7%

Exports from Myanmar garmenting firms employing cutting, making and packaging (CMP) system jumped to US $ 1.157 billion (up 83.7 per cent) as against US $ 629.709 million in the corresponding period last year, as per the statistics from the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce.
