Apparel buyers paying less for apparels produced in Bangladesh’s green units

According to Tofail Ahmed, Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, international buyers are paying less for apparel and garments that are manufactured in eco-friendly factories in Bangladesh. Despite huge investments being made to make the factories eco-friendly, the buyers have not been increasing the prices. On the contrary, they have been significantly slashing the prices. Taiwanese garment manufacturer raises shipment forecast

Quang Viet Enterprise Co. Ltd. (QVE), a Taiwan-based garment manufacturer, increased its shipment forecast for the year 2017 from 10 million units to 10.5 million units. “The figure is nearly 15 per cent higher than last year’s 9.1 million units,” averred a Quang Viet’s Investor Relations official.
