| PUTTING TOGETHER THE RIGHT COLOURS... |
| |
| As critical as shapes, cuts, patterns, details and fabrics, colours change every season more
quickly than the rest of the elements in the development process. Sometimes a colour palette
alone holds the capability to make a popular pattern a complete failure with the masses if
approached wrongly, and alternatively a surprising hit even with a basic shape if interpreted
with a fresh colourful eye. Coming from Team FASHION FORWARD TRENDS this issue lays out
a set of new colour palettes both for men and women that made it big on the runways with not
only one but a substantial amount of designers all over the world. Designed and put together
in a way that each can become a complete product line in themselves, the colours for
upcoming fall are as refreshing as ever, majorly in warmer tones for a chilly winter, which can
easily be taken forward in the next Spring/Summer in cooler hues... |

| Creating an illusion of the sea with a mix of fantasy and dream orientations this colour palette takes
inspirations from the deep under waters. Raging in
different hues of blue's that include shades of turquoise,
cobalt, navy, sea-green and light blue, extracted out are
the varied colours of the ocean and wild waves. |

| Inspiration in this shade card comes from the everyday scenes of sunrise and sunset, forming a sunshine strip
that includes 'tangerine tango' that is projected to be the
most demanded colour in times to come along with hues
of orange, bright yellow, mustard and coral. The palette
eludes not only freshness but a lively emotion, uplifting the
mood of a gloomy fall. |

| Taking inspiration from the rawness of nature and picking the various shades of mother earth, this palette is a
combination of varied brown's picked up from the earth in
ranges of brick brown's to camel brown's and shades of green
which are picked up from plants and trees ranging from olive
greens to fresh greens. |

 |

 |
| |
| From a contrastingly bright and bold palette that has been ruling fashion for the past two seasons the future looks a
lot more subtle with pastel shades making an extraordinary
statement. Shades like pale pink, lavender, mint-green, dull
blue, light mauve and dry peony which look like frosty pastels
have already popped up on many runways, only to continue in
the next summer as well. |

| Moving away from the classic shades of black and grey, this palette introduces 'camel' as the hottest colour to
create a formal look for men for the upcoming winter season.
Various shades of this colour along with hues of beige and
sand are combined with navy and darker shades of blue to
create a classic businessman's look, perfect for office attires. |

| Depicting the freshness of leaves – shades of olive or khakis form a neutral colour palette both popular for
women's wear and menswear, in the upcoming fall. Highlights
are both warmer tones with an added touch of yellow and a
darker, almost like a grey neutral of the colour combined with
blue or brown as accents. |

| Adding sophistication and a feel of timeless classic, this palette of purples focuses on burgundy as the accent
colour amongst a versatile wine coloured shade card which is
completed with brown tones, smoky grey's, silver shades
deep navy blues to complete the whole ensemble. |

| Brick and muted mustard tones, combined with completing tones of brown and grey to form a complete colour card is
taking its inspiration from a tribal traveller look for pieces that are
semi formal. The colour palette looks the best when combined
with various washed of denim blues and the traditional shade of
indigo, especially for a more masculine fashion line. |
