GHCL Ltd., involved in the manufacturing of textile and inorganic chemicals I planning to put in Rs. 100 crore for the expansion of textile business. S Jalan, Managing Director, GHCL said, “We foresee a good demand in the textile business in coming years and see a huge demand coming from our existing clients and new clients. We expect improvement in both top line and margin going forward. We target to invest Rs. 100 crores over next two years in this business.”
In a total of Rs. 100 crore expansion plan, Rs. 50 crore would be spent on home textile and the rest will be invested in wind power generation to slash the power costs in spinning business.
The company’s spinning facility, located near Madurai (Tamil Nadu) with a total installed capacity of 175,000 spindles and 3320 rotor, produces 100% cotton compact yarn, cotton blend yarn, 100% polyester yarn, viscose blends yarn and other fancy yarn. Its home textile plant is in Vapi, Gujarat with 162 air jet looms and 36 million metres of processing capacity.
