Veteran designer from Vietnam, Nguyen Cong Tri, will unveil his latest Haute Couture No. 10 collection at Tokyo Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017-18, scheduled to be held on 21 March at Shibuya Hikarie Hall A.
Nguyen Cong Tri is a member of the Asian Couture Federation and was named in Top 100 contemporary designers in the world. He also has the distinction of being the first Vietnamese designer to have been invited to take part in the Tokyo Fashion Week 2016 with his collection No. 9. Following the success of his previous collection, the fashion designer continues to merge traditional and modern images in his creations.

Tri first left his mark in the world of Vietnamese fashion in 2000 when he won first prize in the New Idea category at Vietnam’s Grand Prix, where he showcased his Green Leaves fashion collection.
Tokyo Fashion Week has stringent criteria to choose designers for their shows, based on the reputation and influence of those designers in their native countries and their potential to bring something new to the fashion market in Japan. Vietnam has been receiving official invitation from Tokyo Fashion Week since 2016 and Nguyen Cong Tri has been chosen to be a representative of haute couture fashion of the country.
