Jindal Group’s Textile facilities in Himachal
 
Ludhiana-based Jindal Group is setting up facilities in an upcoming textile park in Himachal Pradesh near Amb industrial area in Una district. A private company, Himachal Textile Park Ltd. is developing the park with an outlay of Rs.107 .74 crore. Jindal Medicot Ltd. and Jindal Speciality Textiles Limited, subsidiaries of Jindal Group would invest Rs. 204 crore in the facilities and commence production by March 2011. S.C. Kori, General Manager looking after the project says, “We have taken 60 acres of land for both the units. Jindal Medicot will manufacture medical textile products like absorbent bleached cotton wool and cotton crepe bandages and cloth and Jindal Speciality Textiles will produce PVC laminated products, tent fabrics, and truck sliders.”
